Harm Reduction Services
Supplies:
Our basic harm reduction supplies are available for free at all our mobile outreach locations and hours. If you can’t make it to our routine service hours/locations, contact us at admin@hachr707.org or 707-407-6013 to coordinate a time to get the resources you need.
Narcan/Naloxone: Naloxone (brand name Narcan) is a medication used to quickly reverse an opioid overdose. We provide both nasal and injectable naloxone, in addition to in-person trainings on how to use it both at our service sites and by appointment.
Fentanyl and Xylazine Test Kits: Test your drugs for the presence of fentanyl or xylazine (“tranq”) to make more informed choices about taking your drugs (x2 per kit!).
Basic Needs Supplies: We construct wound and abscess care kits and distribute a wide-range of hygiene supplies, with a focus on providing tools that are most important to the health, comfort, and survival of unhoused people living outside.
Safer Use Kits: These kits include clean tools for and safety information about various methods of drug use, including smoking, snorting, boofing, etc. We provide these kits as safer alternatives to injection for many people, as they can have lower risks of overdose or the spread of illness. To help further prevent these risks, we construct our kits so that each individual person can use clean supplies without having to risk sharing materials with others. Safer smoking kits are exclusively available at our mobile outreach locations.
Syringe Services: We provide sterile safer injection equipment and other resources, including syringe exchange, safe disposal containers, and used sharps container drop-off. Syringe exchange is exclusively available at our mobile outreach locations.
And More… We also provide safer sex supplies, food and nutritional support, clothing and outdoor survival gear, pet food, etc.
Trainings and Education:
Narcan/Naloxone Training: Contact us at support@hachr707.org or 707-407-6013 to schedule an overdose prevention training for your community group, workplace, or self. These trainings can be brief and include free naloxone.
Harm Reduction Training: For a longer training about HACHR’s work and related harm reduction information and history, please contact support@hachr707.org. These trainings usually take 1-2 hours, including time for questions and open discussion.
Mobile Outreach Schedule:
